Sew, I made my mother a table runner for Mother's Day. I think it turned out really pretty.
It's Fig Tree's "Buttercups for Lunch" pattern using a charm pack and a few small cuts of fabric for the background and binding.
Also on Mother's Day, I introduced my sister to the art of sewing. We pulled out the ol' sewing machine, picked up some coordinating fabric, and she put together two pillow cases for her boys. First time ever, and she did it all by herself! They turned out perfect. The only problem was that I forgot to take a picture of the finished projects.
Next thing you know, she will be making quilts, or better yet, making me presents!
