VISITING THE EMERALD CITY

One word can describe Seattle:  Beautiful!  That is if it's not raining.  I'm not joking...Seattle averages over 38" of rain a year.  You don't go anywhere in Seattle without an umbrella close at hand; but, when the sun decides to come out from behind the clouds, the city shines!
Last week, my husband's brother and sister-in-law came to the Northwest to visit us from West Virginia.  We couldn't have asked for better weather when we toured the Emerald City.   We took them to all the "tourist" spots.
Watched the fish fly at Pike Place Market
Ordered a grande Vanilla Latte (with 5 pumps of syrup, no foam, & extra hot) at the original Starbucks
Indulged in some fabulous seafood and sinful treats

Watched as boats traveled into the Ballard Locks from the Pudget Sound

Took a ferry ride to Bainbridge Island

and rode to the top of the Space Needle to take in all the sites!
(BTW:  Its the Space Needles 50th Birthday)

We had a great time with our family, and enjoyed all the wonderful things Seattle has to offer.
