CHRISTMAS QUILT

Recently, I began a new project so I would have something to hand sew while I was planted in front of the television at night, but also because I wanted to make a quilt just for me!

This past weekend I finished the quilt top. I hand appliqued the trees, socks, stars and holly leaves, and pieced together several different blocks of fabric for the main body of the quilt top and outer border.
The photographs do not do the quilt top justice.  I am very pleased with the final result.
So much so, that I think I am going to try and machine quilt this little beauty myself.  Its small enough to wrestle through the machine, and I can practice my free motion skills.
Looks like I should have this baby done in time for the holidays!

Hi Karen, thanks so much for sharing your adorable Christmas quilt last week! I love it! I'll be featuring it tonight at the Highlight Party. I added your email to the bottom of your pic. Hope that was okay. Wanted you to get credit where credit is due! Do you know about PicMonkey.com? Very simple to add text to your pics.
