Essential Traveling Tote Bag

In July, I posted about some fabric I had purchased, and started sewing a new tote bag to replace the one I left in a cab in Dallas.  I had all intentions of completing the bag BEFORE we left for Tennessee.  Oh well, I guess its better late then never.  Well here IT is!  All done!  Finished!  And, I couldn't be happier.  I think it turned out perfect, but I am a little biased.
I decided to quilt the outer fabric and lining for thickness and stability.
I followed the pattern from Jo-Lydia's Attic with a few adjustments of my own.
It has a zippered top, outside pocket, and an inside pocket.
The pattern called for webbing for the straps, but I decided to specialize my bag and made my own.
I got the bag completed just in time for my trip to Europe.  I'll be able to put it to a true test!

not only beautiful but practical. Oh how I wish I would have learned how to sew when I was younger. I just couldn't sit still long enough. Mom tried!
