The Monday after my accident, I went and saw an orthopedic specialist. Diagnosis: Surgery for a plate and screws. The damage was worse than we had originally anticipated. However, due to the swelling, I was given a soft cast and ordered to keep my leg elevated for the next week or so.
Unfortunately, I had to cancel my trip to the Quilt Market in Kansas City. These doctor's orders have also hampered my ability to sit at my sewing machine.
Sew, I have been working on finishing the hand appliqueing on the borders of my "A Little Porch Time" quilt.
By the time you are reading this posting, surgery will have been completed (on Wed) and I am on the road to recovery.
